Cocoa

Cocoa

Cocoa, the keyboardist / back-up vocalist. The wildly creative member of the group, Cocoa has a very pure, artistic perspective on the music, and believes that a constant and obsessive disciplinary approach to the band is the only way to achieve her vision. When not on stage, she can be found practicing the piano in the back of the bus or scribbling new melodies in the small notebook she keeps in her pocket at all times. Her dedication to the music often leads to confrontations between herself and the much less zealous Ulla.

The oldest member of the group, Cocoa was born and raised in Innisfail, Alberta, a small town outside of Red Deer. As a high school senior, she found herself launched into the spotlight of the Girl Power competition through her multi-instrumental skills and singer-songwriter music. After honing her songwriting for years, Cocoa had developed quite a following in her town, where she wrote and performed her own music. Now, having graduated from high school, she is under immense pressure to pursue her University degree - once she finally gets off the road.

Cocoa’s favorite movies are all based around musicians, like Walk the Line and Boyz ‘n the Hood. When it comes to reading, she’s often found reading and re-reading C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia series and Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
